What a click records
A campaign link redirects through the ThreeStove tracking domain before it reaches the store. That server-first hop records the campaign, the creator, and a signed click reference, without depending on third-party cookies.
The click itself earns nothing. It creates the evidence that a later order can point back to.
The campaign attribution window
Every campaign sets its own attribution window in the campaign wizard; 30 days is the common default. An order attributes to a creator when it lands inside that window and carries evidence linking it to the creator's click or code.
The window is part of the campaign terms you accept when applying, so check it per campaign instead of assuming one global number.
Creator codes as evidence
A configured creator code in the order is strong evidence on its own. When a buyer uses a valid campaign code at checkout, the order can attribute even when the click evidence is thin, because the code appears in the order data the store sends.
Codes must belong to the campaign and pass the same review rules; a code does not skip validation.
When evidence is missing
An order with no click reference and no code stays unattributed. ThreeStove does not guess a creator from probability, and a purchase completed somewhere the evidence cannot follow is treated as exactly that: unproven.
That is a deliberate trade. Brands are only charged on orders the evidence supports, and creators can trust that an attributed order holds up in review.
Attribution window versus return window
Two different clocks apply to every order. The attribution window decides whether an order belongs to a creator at all. The return window, set by the brand, decides when the commission on an attributed order stops being provisional and can move toward payout.
An order can attribute on day one and still spend the full return window in review; that is normal, not a tracking failure. The payouts guide picks up from there.
Verify instead of assuming
The honest way to know a setup works is one documented test order through the tracked path: click the link, order, and watch the click, order, and commission states appear.
Brands can run this from their integration's testing tools, and creators can compare a recorded click with a registered order in their own reporting.
How long does my link count?
As long as the campaign's attribution window says, measured from the click. The window is listed in the campaign terms; 30 days is the common default, but each campaign sets its own.
Does a new click restart the window?
A newer click creates fresh evidence, and the most recent valid evidence carries the attribution. The window is always measured from the click the order is actually matched to.
The buyer switched devices before ordering. Who gets the sale?
Attribution needs evidence in the order path: a click reference that survived to checkout or a valid creator code in the order. A purchase completed where neither followed stays unattributed; ThreeStove does not assign it by guesswork.
