What self-billing means
Self-billing means ThreeStove issues the invoice for your commission, not you. When a payout is processed, the platform generates that document on your behalf under the self-billing agreement you accepted during activation.
You never have to write or send an invoice to ThreeStove or to the brands you promote for. Once you accept that agreement, every payout after it arrives with its document already handled.
Where your self-billing documents live
Every self-billing document is tied to a payout and sits alongside it in your payout history. There is no separate invoice inbox to check: the document appears the moment its payout is processed.
Open your payouts overview to find or download a past document.
VAT and your situation
What actually appears on your self-billing document depends on the situation and country you have on file: whether you are registered as an individual, a sole trader, or a company, and whether VAT applies to your commission.
ThreeStove reads this straight from your saved profile details. If those details are out of date, so is the document: update your profile as soon as your situation changes, for example after a VAT registration or a change of address.
Stale details are a leading payout delay
Of every reason a payout stalls, an outdated profile is one of the most common: an old address, a changed VAT status, or expired tax information that was never updated.
Check your details before you request a payout, not after. Payouts for Creators covers the rest of the payout ladder once your details are correct.
What this guide is not
This guide explains what ThreeStove does for you: generating the self-billing document under the agreement you accepted. It does not explain what you personally owe or must declare, and it is not a substitute for individual tax advice.
Questions about your own filing, business status, or a scheme that might apply to you belong with a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
This guide is not tax advice. For your own filing or business status, ask a qualified adviser.
Do I need to send my own invoice?
No. ThreeStove uses self-billing, so the platform generates the invoice for your commission on your behalf under the agreement you accepted during activation.
Where can I download my self-billing invoices?
Next to the matching payout in your payout history. Each document appears once that payout has processed.
What happens if my VAT situation changes?
Update your profile as soon as your situation changes, for example after registering for VAT. The self-billing document follows whatever is saved on your profile, so outdated details produce an outdated document.
